Hello! I am a professional freelance illustrator with over 20 years of experience, based in the North West of England.

Since graduating in 1996 with a B.A in Illustration and Animation, I have built an extensive portfolio with a wide range of work, including character designs for an online animated pop up book, corporate and domestic murals, concrete crafting, and designs for doorstops which were made and then sold in a major high street store.

But my passion is for children’s books. I am a big kid at heart and love to inject a bit of humour into my work. I love creating fun and humorous characters and hope to raise a smile with funny background details. I’m also a huge fan of red squirrels and often feature them in my work!

My first book (which I wrote) was published by MacMillan and sold internationally! Since then, I have had numerous books published, including a range of picture books for a major supermarket, and a series of educational books for home learning.

I am always developing my style, using traditional medium ranging from watercolour inks to acrylics.

I am currently writing and illustrating children’s books for future publication as well as accepting commissions from authors wishing to see their ideas brought to life!
